Andrea COLAVITTO

BIOGRAPHY:

Andrea Colavitto (Student Member IEEE) achieved the M.Sc. degree (with honors) in Electrical Energy and Systems Engineering at the University of Trieste (Italy) in 2017, with a thesis entitled “Study and simulations of the interactions between the hybrid-electric propulsion and the integrated power system of large naval vessels”. He is currently a Ph.D. student in Industrial and Information Engineering at the University of Trieste. He is operating at the Electric Power Generation and Control Laboratory, Department of Engineering and Architecture (DIA), University of Trieste and his research activity convers marine power systems, early stage design tools, and pulsed power loads.

An advanced course created for graduated students and employees who are involved in the design and manufacturing phases of ships and/or offshore vessels/platforms, which will improve their skills in maritime safety as well as in environmental and security issues.
