Domenico PARODI

BIOGRAPHY:

Domenico Parodi received in 1997 the BSc(Eng) – Bachelor of Science with Honours in Mechanical Engineering (EQF level 6) from the University of Central Lancashire (England), and in 2000 received the Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (EQF level 7) from the Università degli Studi di Genova (Italy).
In 2000, he started his ship building activity joining the naval vessel business unit of Fincantieri in the Genova headquarter planning department. From the 2003 he moved to Riva Trigoso and Muggiano shipyards following the construction of the naval vessels, like Horizon Project and FREMM Project, in the Production Control department as well as head of construction (prefabrication, erection, and outfitting) area.
In the 2013 he continued his working experience with Fincantieri taking charge in the company Corporate (Trieste) of the man hour estimation office and, two years later, holding the position of head of Industrial Methods with the aims to develop the building strategy of the new cruise ships.
From middle of 2016 he is the coordinator of the merchant ship business unit production planning project that is, nowadays, rolled up to the Italian shipyards.

LECTURES

An advanced course created for graduated students and employees who are involved in the design and manufacturing phases of ships and/or offshore vessels/platforms, which will improve their skills in maritime safety as well as in environmental and security issues.

A course designed for both employed and unemployed professionals who have already developed technical skills and capabilities in maritime safety, the environment and security at sea,which will provide them with additional expertise in the safety and security fields, with respect to on-board personnel, infrastructure and the environment.
