Michele CAPOBIANCO

Michele Capobianco graduated at University of Padova as an Electronic Engineer in 1989.
At present, he works as Business Innovation Manager and Technology Advisor, with focus on the introduction of new products and services (especially in the area of “technologies for connectivity” and “connected products”), he is member of the board at CEnergy, a university spin-off dealing with “intelligent energy” solutions, and he occasionally acts as “Angel Investor” on high tech start-ups.
He worked as VP Product Management and CTO at ONDA Communication, an Italian company that developed, manufactured and distributed mobile communication and multimedia products, primarily to Telecom Operators. Under his responsibility, ONDA Communication has been the first company to introduce a variety of mobile communication products on the Italian market. In that context, he also dealt with research and development activities for Smart Home, Energy Efficiency, eHealth, and wearable technologies (including dedicated IoT and M2M solutions).
In the period 2003-2005, he contributed as Technical Director to the start-up of Pordenone Science & Technology Park (hosting now more than 30 companies), and worked as Temporary Professor of Project Management at University of Trieste. Finally, he has 12 years’ experience in marine technologies and coastal engineering having worked with Tecnomare (now ENI Progetti), a company part of the ENI Group, first as system engineer, and later as project manager and senior technologist.
