BIOGRAPHY:

Sara Marcassa is working within Wärtsilä Italia Spa as Senior Certification Engineer responsible for the exhaust gas emission certification of 4-stroke engines.

She is graduated as Naval Architect and Marine Engineer at Trieste University in 2011 and granted with the “American Bureau of Shipping” ABS Scholarship in June 2011.

In this role she is ensuring that Wärtsilä 4-stroke engine portfolio has approved EIAPP parent Technical Files that fulfils IMO emission requirements. She is also following the development and the upcoming entry into force of new rules and regulations from IMO/IACS/class societies related to 4-S engines exhaust gas emissions and act as an information source for the Company.
