Project Workshop on Pax Ships

Contents

One-day workshops aimed at the understanding the practical design applications of the fire & safety concepts studied in the other Module 3-1, 3-2 and 3-3 with the support of Fincantieri experts; the project will be mainly oriented to a passenger ship project.

Aims and intended learning outcomes

  • Understanding of the design project process.
  • Identification of critical aspects from design point of view, focusing on fire & safety systems/arrangements (MVZ definition, stairway enclosures, HVAC & ventilation arrangements, arrangements for key fire& safety systems, arrangements for LSA).
