Giovanni PUPPO

BIOGRAPHY:

After few initial years at sea as Engineer, Giovanni Puppo followed major refitting and new buildings passenger vessels as owner representative site team. In 1992 he joined DNV where he covered the position of Surveyor Ship in operation and New Building, Senior Surveyor, Site Manager, Project Manager and New Building Project manager for commercial vessel and Roro Pax. Since 2002 he joins V ships Leisure where since 2015 he is the technical Director  for  Leisure Division.

He is also: Chartered Engineer (UK Engineering Council), Fellow of Royal Institution Naval Architect (RINA), Member of  the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME); Member of The Institute of Marine Engineering- Science and Technology (IMarEST); Member of the Society of Consulting Marine Engineers and Marine Surveyors UK  (SCMS); Member of The Federation of European  Association of Surveyors and Consultants (FEMAS); Member of Associazione Ingegneri Periti Di Avarie Marittime (AIPAM); Member of The Propeller Club of the United States Port of Monaco ; QA IRCA Auditor/ Lead Auditor-ISM-SEP-IMRS Auditor ( DNV); Member of LLOYDS EMEA  Italian technical committee.

LECTURES

An advanced course created for graduated students and employees who are involved in the design and manufacturing phases of ships and/or offshore vessels/platforms, which will improve their skills in maritime safety as well as in environmental and security issues.

A course designed for both employed and unemployed professionals who have already developed technical skills and capabilities in maritime safety, the environment and security at sea,which will provide them with additional expertise in the safety and security fields, with respect to on-board personnel, infrastructure and the environment.
